Description

The Great Gatsby is a classic American novel set in the 1920s. It is currently a Broadway extravaganza exploding with life and energy. Along with learning the Showcase routine, dancers will focus on jazz fundamentals including flexibility, turns, jumps, and showmanship.

Teresa Whitaker

Teresa is honored to be teaching again for CYT. She has choreographed two CCT shows including Godspell and The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Mary Poppins. She performed as an LSU Golden Girl for 4 years and danced professionally for Merv Griffin Enterprises. She owned Elite Dance School with her sister and enjoys choreographing musicals, a local Mardi Gras Ball, and teaching Musical Theater Dance classes.
